EBPC YOUTH PROGRAMS
Come explore and learn about your relationship with Jesus and others with the youth of East Brentwood Presbyterian Church. We encourage all youth to expand their understanding of their faith by engaging in biblical teachings as well as happily reaching out to serve others in our community. Weekly meetings are held both for the High School Presbyterian Youth Group (PYG), Sundays, 6:00-7:30pm and the Middle School Group (608), Wednesdays, 6:08-7:30 pm.
Relationships are an important part of teen life at EBPC. We are an inclusive, open, honest group who desires to explore and learn more about our fellow peers, our connection to God and to people near and far.
Our FELLOWSHIP events are designed to help us embrace honest socialization while having fun. We are able to grow in love and support of each other as a church family during our times together. Our adventures involve, white water rafting, Nashville Sounds baseball games, annual Christmas party, ultimate frisbee games and others.
The Youth also desire to expand on their understanding of their FAITH through regular participation in Bible studies.
During the school year, the high school youth (PYG) meet weekly at 5:00 pm on Sundays for in-depth chats and discussions about the teachings of the Bible. At 6:00 pm we continue with conversations, food, fellowship and games that may include topics such as parents, school, world religions, prayer styles, morals and many more.
During the school year, the middle school youth (608) meet weekly on Wednesdays at 5:30 pm for in depths chats about the Bible and then at 6:08 pm for conversation, food, fellowship and games that may include topics such as peer relationships, school, prayer, decision-making skills and many more.
Regular participation in NaCoMe conferences and Montreat is also a fabulous way to grow in faith with other Presbyterian youth.
Reaching out to the community in SERVICE is a key part of being a Christian youth here at EBPC. Youth members share compassion and love by participating in monthly events to help foster these relationships. Preston Taylor Ministries, Nashville Rescue Mission, GraceWorks, and Morning Pointe are a few agencies served.
Every summer a week is spent participating in mission work throughout the US. Past trips include Oklahoma, Asheville, NC, Chicago, IL and Arkansas. These trips are fun team building experience and deeply spiritual for all who attend.
