Every four years during the Olympic Games, we see many stories of triumph over great odds, the drive and determination of great athletes and the outpouring of support by loved ones - stories that remind us of the resiliency of the human spirit. One Olympic story resonates today - Derek Richmond in the 1994 Olympics overcame great pain and disappointment and his father showed unconditional love for his son. In the podcast below, listen to Pastor John and Music Director Nate discuss Derek’s triumphant story. Music has always been an important part of the Olympic story as well so make sure you also listen to the beautiful music provided by Nate including the Olympic theme by John Williams, hymns and more. And if you want to see the wonderful story unfold, we have also provided a link from that moving Olympic games so many years ago. (Thanks to Scott Huie who reminded us of this Olympic moment.)
