Youth families can serve with the Society of St. Andrew as part of their gleaning program. Farms allow the Society of St. Andrew to come in and pick the leftover or damaged crops after harvesting. Those foods are then distributed to local food banks or families in need. The Society of St. Andrew's mission is to "bring people together to harvest and share healthy food, reduce food waste, and build caring communities by offering nourishment to hungry neighbors." Allenbrooke Farms in Spring Hill on Tuesday, July 9th from 9-11am. Lindsey would love to take a big group from both 608 and PYG (Rising 5th included)! I can fit 6 folks in my van, and we can car pool if we have a bigger group going! If you are interested in gleaning with the youth group (parents welcome!), please email or text me (931.273.3069) and fill out the online waiver below for each person participating. Friends are welcome, but they will also need to complete the waiver and a permission form to be transported by EBPC members!
