We want to engage our members and others in varied and meaningful forms of Christian learning and discipleship.

The practice of intentional faith development gives disciples a network of support, encouragement and direction as we seek to grow in Christ.  Sunday school classes, Bible studies, choirs and other small groups are really little churches within the bigger church family, and are foundational in forming and keeping a strong church.  Learning in community provides accountability for our faith journeys.

Adult Learning Circle:

You are invited to study how the early followers of Jesus lived in a way that showed their belief in Jesus as Lord and how they tackled the issues of their time. We call this series "Living Unafraid in a Frightening World."

Pastor John will lead a group of EBPC church members, friends and preschool parents each Tuesday and Sunday morning for an hour to study the Book of Acts. The group will examine the messages of the life of the early Church and how it relates to the issues people face today. The session will combine a brief presentation with bible study discussion and prayer during which we ask the questions "Where is God in the text?," and seek to draw connections to where we see God in our lives.

Why the Book of Acts? And how is this applicable now? Acts proclaims Jesus is alive now, so we can live our best lives unafraid of what's next, even in a frightening world.

The Bible Study will run every Tuesday and Sunday starting the week of September 12 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. The study will run through November 28. We will meet in the music room which is close to the entrance off of Wilson Pike.

We hope you will join us for this fascinating look at the Book of Acts and how it relates to our lives now. While the study runs weekly through November, each week is self-contained which is ideal for people who can’t commit to the whole series.

Reminder - Learning Circle Meets Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. and Sundays at 9 a.m. Please choose whichever day works best with your schedule. All are welcome!
