Sentences of Scripture

*Hymn #834 “Precious Lord, Take My Hand”

Precious Lord, take my hand; lead me on,

help me stand; I am tired, I am weak, I am worn.

Through the storm, through the night, lead me on to the light;

take my hand, precious Lord, lead me home.

When my way grows drear, precious Lord,

linger near; when my life is almost gone,

hear my cry, hear my call, hold my hand lest I fall;

take my hand, precious Lord, lead me home.

*Hymn #450 “Be Though My Vision” Vs. 1, 2, 4

Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart;

naught be all else to me, save that thou art;

thou my best thought, by day or by night,

waking or sleeping, thy presence my light.

Be thou my wisdom, and thou my true Word;

I ever with thee and thou with me, Lord;

Thou my soul’s shelter, and thou my high tower;

Raise thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.

High King of Heaven, my victory won,

may I reach heaven’s joys, O bright heaven’s Sun!

Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,

still be my vision, O Ruler of all.

Our Mission

East Brentwood Presbyterian Church is a community church made up of a loving, welcoming family of believers in honest conversation with God. We seek to emulate the ministry of Jesus through compassionate service, with stimulating and relevant exploration of God’s Word, and by sharing that Word and God’s many blessings with our neighbors in Middle Tennessee and around the world.

The Committal Service will immediately follow at Williamson Memorial Gardens (3009 Columbia Avenue, Franklin) in the "Garden of Angels" section which is at the rear part of the grounds. All are welcome to join us for this brief graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to EBPC, the church that Alex has been a part of since he was three years old.

Luke 21:25-27—King James Version (KJV):

25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

Alex loved learning about our universe. Shortly before his passing, he commissioned his friend Danielle Mauldin from Lafayette, Louisiana to produce a painting centered around his favorite quote from Star Wars. A photo of the finished work is on the next panel.
